The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has appointed Professor Daniel Adjei-Boateng as Acting Dean of the Quality Assurance and Planning Office (QAPO).
Until his appointment, Prof. Adjei-Boateng served as Head of the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Unit, where he contributed to strengthening the university’s data-driven management systems, strategic planning, and performance measurement processes.
A fisheries scientist by training, Prof. Adjei-Boateng is a faculty member in the Department of Fisheries and Watershed Management, College of Agriculture and Natural Resources. His research and teaching focus on sustainable aquaculture, fish nutrition, environmental management, and the relationship between aquatic ecosystems and food security.
As Dean of QAPO, he will oversee the strengthening of institutional quality frameworks, academic programme accreditation, and monitoring mechanisms to ensure that KNUST maintains global academic standards. His leadership is expected to align quality assurance with strategic planning to drive continuous improvement, accountability, and innovation across all academic and administrative units.
He succeeds Prof. Jerry John Kponyo, the immediate past Dean of QAPO.
